Takht Ravanchi: From Iran’s perspective, enrichment halt not on the table

Majid Takht Ravanchi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, in an interview with the global network “BBC” said, “Iran is ready to compromise with the U.S. to achieve a nuclear agreement, should the Americans discuss the lifting of sanctions.”

“The negotiations have been more or less positive so far, but it is still too early to judge,” he added, stating, “If they are ready to discuss sanctions, we are ready to discuss this issue and other matters related to the nuclear program.”

Takht Ravanchi further stressed, “Our understanding is that they have concluded that if they want an agreement, they must focus on the nuclear issue,” saying, ”The issue of zeroing out enrichment is no longer on the agenda, and is not on the table from Iran’s perspective.”
