Iran has condemned a terrorist attack against a mosque in the Pakistani capital city of Islamabad.

In a statement on Friday, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei condemned the terrorist attack which targeted a mosque during Friday prayers, killing and injuring dozens of worshippers.
Baqaei condoled with the Pakistani government and people and the families of the victims over the deadly incident, praying for speedy recovery of those injured.
Iran condemns all forms of terrorism and violent extremism, he said, urging the need for combined efforts of all regional counties to avoid and counter “the sinister phenomenon of terrorism.”
