Araghchi stressed that Tehran pursues diplomacy to safeguard its national interests, noting that while Iran remains committed to the path of negotiations, it is fully prepared to defend the country’s sovereignty and national security against any form of excessive demands or adventurism.
During the discussions, Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi commended the Islamic Republic of Iran for its good faith, responsibility, and seriousness in diplomatic processes. Referring to the attempts of regional countries in preventing escalation, he expressed hope that this round of talks—guided by goodwill and timely judgment from all parties—will pave the way for a lasting understanding between Iran and the United States.
