Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation on Wednesday with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan to discuss the latest regional developments.

During the call, the Saudi foreign minister underscored Riyadh’s approach in supporting regional stability and said Saudi Arabia backs political and diplomatic solutions to de-escalate tensions.
The Iranian and Saudi foreign ministers also stressed the need to continue close consultations to preserve regional stability and safeguard the interests of all countries in the region.
Araghchi has been speaking with his counterparts in the region amid heightened tensions with the United States, which has dispatched an aircraft carrier strike group to the region and threatened to attack Iran.
