During his weekly press briefing in Tehran, Baqaei respond to IRNA’s question about a text message between French President Emmanuel Macron and his US counterpart Donald Trump. In the message, made public a week ago, Macron told Trump that they “can do great things on Iran.”
The spokesperson said: “Politics is not conducted through the exchange of private text messages, especially when there is no guarantee they will remain confidential. Rather, countries must act responsibly in response to international developments and avoid squandering their credibility.”
He added that the Iranian nation is well aware that the era in which extra-regional powers speak about other countries in this manner is now over.
