Up to 26 million Iranians take part in 22 Bahman rallies

Field assessments and reports from journalists across Iran indicate that the nationwide rallies held on February 11, 2026, marking the anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, were carried out on an unprecedented scale, with massive public participation. The turnout is being described as one of the largest popular gatherings in Iran in recent years.

Citing WANA News Agency, between 23 and 26 million people took part in the rallies across more than 1,400 districts, cities, and counties nationwide. These figures do not include participants from nearly 40,000 villages across the country and are limited to urban and county centers only.

In the capital, Tehran, the number of participants is estimated at between 3.8 million and 4.2 million. In other provinces, the total number of participants is estimated to range from 19 to 22 million.

On-the-ground observations by journalists in various cities point to a noticeable increase in turnout compared to previous years. In the city of Qom, all four main rally routes were filled with crowds, with reports indicating exceptionally high levels of density.

In Isfahan, in addition to Imam Khomeini Square, Hafez and Sepah streets witnessed a large public presence. Severe crowding was also reported in Imam Hossein Square as well as Neshat and Ahmadabad streets, to the extent that many participants were unable to enter the main square. Initial estimates suggest that around 400,000 people took part in the rally in Isfahan.

Similar reports have emerged from Mashhad, Ilam, Hamedan, Yasuj, Ahvaz, Tabriz, Urmia, Khorramabad, and many other provincial capitals and cities. In several of these locations, public participation reportedly exceeded that of large-scale gatherings held in recent months.

Domestic analysts interpret this widespread turnout as a sign of sustained social mobilization and a clear message from Iranian public opinion to external actors. According to observers, the scale of participation poses a serious challenge to the assumptions and calculations of some opponents and critics of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
